Winning Over Sandrock’s Law: The Ultimate Guide to Justice’s Gift Preferences

In the post-apocalyptic desert community of My Time at Sandrock, maintaining a healthy relationship with the local law enforcement is more than just good neighborly etiquette—it is a strategic advantage. As the town’s easy-going yet dedicated sheriff, Justice keeps the peace alongside his trusty deputy, Unsuur, and his beloved pet meerkat, Princess.

If you want to move past casual pleasantries and become a trusted ally (or more) with Sandrock’s Chief Sherrif, you will need to understand what makes him tick. Gifting is one of the fastest ways to climb the relationship tiers, unlocking perks like attack boosts and store discounts.

Here is everything you need to know about navigating Justice’s heart through the art of gift-giving.

What Justice Loves (+10 to +20 RP)

Justice is a man of action, an adventurer at heart, and someone who appreciates practical, well-crafted gear. Unsurprisingly, his favorite things in the world are high-tier weapons, heavy-duty fitness equipment, and cozy furnishings. Handing him one of these items will yield the highest Relationship Points (RP):

  • Weapons: Alloy Heavy Sword, Alloy Sword and Shield, Chromium Heavy Sword, Essential Heavy Sword, Essential Sword and Shield, Helical Gear Sword and Shield, Steel Greatsword, Titanium Heavy Sword, Titanium Sword and Shield, Vintage Pistol, and Vintage Assault Rifle.
  • Equipment & Tools: Arm Stretcher, Barbell, Light Hammer, and Motivational Hammer.
  • Furniture & Comfort: Comfortable Chair, Office Chair, Pro Gamer Chair, and Working Desk.
  • Consumables & Misc: Iron Muscle Soup and Fang Special X.

If you are early in the game, crafting a Motivational Hammer or a Comfortable Chair is a fantastic way to secure a massive boost to your friendship without needing end-game materials.

What Justice Likes (+5 to +9 RP)

If you don’t have the materials or blueprint for his favorite high-end gear, Justice is also quite fond of practical clothing, gemstones, and hearty meals. While they won’t net you the maximum point bonus, they are solid, reliable choices for daily interactions:

  • Apparel & Gear: Explorer Pants, Explorer Boots, Explorer Vest.
  • Gems & Valuables: Diamond, Gold, Opal, Rosestone, Sapphire, and Sunstone.
  • Food & Medicine: Braised BBQ Ribs, Beef Noodles, Strong Medicine, Spicy Fish Soup, and various botanical extracts (like Orchid or Thunderweed extract).
  • Accessories: Wolf Tooth Pendant.

What to Avoid: Disliked and Hated Items

Justice deals in law, order, and pristine construction. Anything that looks like junk, trash, or broken-down debris will instantly turn him off and subtract precious relationship points.

  • Dislikes (-1 to -4 RP): Scrap materials of any kind (Copper Scrap, Iron Scrap, Wood Scrap, Plastic Scrap), primitive stone weapons, and toy soldier props.
  • Hates (-5 RP): Absolute refuse items such as Food Scraps, Dregs, Ripped Jeans, Ruined Cloth, Ruined Paper, Unlabelled Medicine, and Venom.

Handing him a handful of trash out of your inventory is a surefire way to stall your progress, so always double-check your pockets before approaching him.

Perks of Befriending the Sheriff

Putting effort into gifting Justice isn’t just about being friendly; it comes with tangible mechanical benefits that will help you survive and thrive in Sandrock:

  • Buddy: Grants you an extra +5 Attack Points, helping you hit harder in hazardous ruins.
  • Friend: Gives you a 10% discount on store purchases and grants an extra Favor Point whenever you spar with him.
  • Good Friend: Increases your store discount to a generous 20%.

By keeping a stash of spare barbells, quality swords, or hearty meals in your inventory, you can easily turn Sandrock’s top lawman into one of your strongest supporters.
